Incredible Edible Penryn is a community project that encourages local residents and business owners to grow their own vegetables. They are then encouraged to share the produce and stimulate a source and buy locally principle.
But you aren’t restricted to any one garden. Window boxes, public spaces and hanging baskets can all be employed for the project.
Based on the very successful, ‘Incredible Edible Todmorden‘, now a thriving community business, the Penryn based project aims to promote shared responsibility for sustainability while promoting the town in a positive way.
‘Anyone can get involved – in whatever way you feel able. You don’t need to have green-fingers or even know the difference between broad beans and baked beans! We need people to grow a few seeds, dig, plant, make signs, spread the word, be creative, make suggestions – anything you can offer! As they say in Todmorden “If you eat, you’re in.”’
