Finally we can reveal the winner of the Penryn Town Map Cover competition and give you the first glimpse of the winning design! We have been biting our tongues, clamping hands over our mouths at random moments and making involuntary squeaking noises whenever anyone asked, ‘do you know who won yet?’
For the last few weeks Earth & Water, Number 20, Fannie & Fox and Just Delights have been very kindly looking after the ballot boxes and keeping the enclosed results under close wraps. These votes were then added to the online poll. So thank you lovely guardians of the ballot boxes!
Congratulations to Liz Perry who followed our brief to produce a design that represented the culture and heritage of Penryn. All three of the designs were worthy submissions so thanks also goes to Sarah Joyce and Anne Whetter for their entries. This is the design that will be seen far and wide on 20,000 Visit Penryn town maps and will accompany the Visit Penryn Town Guide from February 2015
It seemed fitting that with a growing creative community the town map should reflect this, as did asking local residents and regular visitors to the town what they would like their town map to look like, so thank you to everyone who voted.
What do you think?
